Mt. zion seniors' ministry

At Mt. Zion United Methodist Church of Baltimore, our Senior Center is a vibrant community where faith, fun, and fellowship come together every Wednesday from 10 am to 1 pm. Built on our church’s foundation and focus, “Have Faith in God,” our Senior Center offers a welcoming space for seniors to connect, grow, and enjoy life. Our center is open to all who wish to share in the fun!

Each gathering begins with a devotional time, providing spiritual nourishment and encouragement as we walk through life’s journey together. This focus on faith sets the tone for everything we do, reminding us that no matter the season of life, God’s presence is constant and comforting.

Engaging Activities

Our activities are designed to engage both the mind and body. From exercise sessions that promote physical well-being to arts and crafts that inspire creativity, there is something for everyone. Memory-building exercises help keep minds sharp, while guest speakers present on a variety of topics ranging from health and wellness to local history and personal enrichment.

But it’s not all about structured activities. Fellowship and fun are at the heart of our time together. Seniors have the chance to participate in community service projects, giving back and making a difference. There are also trips and outings to explore the local area, plus lively line-dancing sessions that keep everyone moving and laughing. Each week is filled with joy, connection, and the kind of laughter that lifts the spirit.
